Scout Values
In line with our values, we recognise our responsibility to deal fairly, constructively and consistently with expressions of concern or dissatisfaction from members and nonmembers, including parents and carers on behalf of themselves or their children.
As Scouts we’re guided by the values of integrity, respect, care, belief and co-operation.
- A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction about a standard of
service. - A compliment is an expression of praise concerning a service
received.
Compliments
If you wish to praise us (a leader or a young person) for something, them please contact the appropriate section leader, alternative (e.g you don’t know which section you need) then please reach out to the Group Scout Leader or the District Commissioner using on eof the following methods:

Concerns and Comments
All concerns raised with the group are handled in line with the Scout Association’s Complaints procedure and being guided by our values of integrity, respect, care and belief in co-operation. But in short the standard process is as follows:
- Step one would be to go through your Section Leader either verbally (Informally) or in writing (Formally).
- As a reminder our Sections Leaders are as follows:
- Beavers – Otter (Jo)
- Cubs – Akela (Hazel)
- Scouts – Steve
- While we find that most comments and concerns can be dealt with effectively by Sections Leader, if you feel at this stage we have not resolved the issue to your satisfaction, or you feel there would be a conflict of interest to do so then please move to the next step.
- As a reminder our Sections Leaders are as follows:
- The second step would be to contact the Group Scout Leader, who line manages your Section Leader and is the manager of Scouting activities within the group, this can be achieved in writing through the contact form on this website, or by phoning the group phone number (01553 750140) and selecting option 1 when prompted.

- If you feel your request cannot be dealt with within the 14th King’s Lynn Scout Group the third stage would be to contact the Group Scout Leader’s line manager:
